Ten percent of our profits go into the Aduna Foundation. The Foundation exists to support small-scale African producers and the communities they belong to. It focuses on three key areas:
1. Capacity Building
Helping producers raise the quality of their production and processing in order to meet certification standards required for major international markets.
2. Social Innovation
Investing in strategically relevant social projects in the communities where our products come from. This then strengthens these communities to be able to sustain themselves through business and not become reliant on aid.
3. Market Expansion
The EU has strict regulations for health and beauty ingredients, many of which have the effect of excluding unknown products from developing countries. Punching through the red tape requires major investment that goes beyond the reach of small-scale producers. That’s where Aduna comes in.
