Sangria is normally associated with sunny weather but we think the flavours of orange, cinnamon and red wine make this the perfect festive drink even for those of us in cooler climes. Top with soda water for added sparkle!
1 tbsp Aduna Baobab Powder
1 orange, sliced
1 small apple, chopped
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tbsp brandy or rum
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 bottle (1 1/2 cups) red wine
chilled soda water, to top up
Add the chopped fruit to a large jug, along with the baobab, cinnamon, brandy and sweetener and muddle together with a wooden spoon. Pour the win and stir well then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavours to develop. Before serving, add a couple of handfuls of ice before topping up with soda water.
