Have you heard about the incredible benefits of turmeric? This yellow root has been used for centuries to treat a whole number of ailments and is seeing a revival in the health food world. One of our favourite ways to enjoy it is along with our baobab powder in this warming spiced milk drink. A nice change from our usual healthy hot chocolate!
Ingredients:
1 tsp Aduna Baobab Powder
1 cup almond milk (homemade is especially good)
1 cinnamon stick
1" piece fresh ginger
1 tsp finely grated fresh turmeric or ground turmeric powder
1-3 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp coconut oil
pinch of salt
Method:
Add the almond milk, cinnamon, ginger and turmeric to a small saucepan and warm until steaming hot.
Remove the cinnamon stick and ginger and pour into a blender with the remaining ingredients. Blend until creamy and frothy.
Pour into a mug, sprinkle with extra cinnamon.
