Soothing Moringa DIY Face Mask Recipe

This deeply-soothing and intensely hydrating face mask is packed full of nourishing ingredients to leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and fresh. Although this mask can be used all year round, its particularly good after sun exposure in summer months. 

Moringa - an excellent source of antioxidants, which help reverse the damage caused by free radicals. It also contains high levels of vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E, all of which help promote healthy skin.

Cucumber - contains natural cooling and hydrating properties due to its high water content. It also helps to get rid of any excessive oiliness in the skin.

Kale - a rich source of vitamin C and vitamin A which promotes healthy cell growth, including the cells that make up the dermis and epidermis of your skin. 

Mint - contains natural soothing properties as well as being a source of vitamin A, helping to strengthen skin. 

Lemon - rich in collagen boosting vitamin C and citric acid, helping to brighten and lighten your skin. 

Chia seeds - packed with omega-3 fatty acids which help strengthen your skin, hair, and nails and also reduce inflammation, dryness and increase circulation. 

Ingredients:

1-2 tsp Aduna Moringa Superleaf Powder
150g cucumber
10g kale or spinach leaves
6 sprigs of mint (approx. 10g)
1 tbsp lemon or lime juice
1 tbsp chia seeds

Method:

Add all ingredients except the chia seeds to a blender and blend until smooth, adding a splash of water if necessary.

Stir in the chia seeds and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. Use within 2 days.

Usage: Smooth over clean skin and leave for 10 minutes to soothe sun-damaged skin. Rinse well.
