Celebrating the classic combination of smoked salmon and avocado, these canapés are perfect for entertaining during the party season. Quick and easy to make, the nutritional yeast and moringa powder add extra flavour and nutritional value to these small but mighty appetisers.
Ingredients
For the avocado mousse:
- 1 tsp Aduna Moringa Powder
- ½ avocado
- 1 tsp nutritional yeast flakes
- ½ garlic clove, finely chopped
- Juice of ½ lime
- Small handful fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the canapés:
- 60g seeded rye bread, toasted
- 50g smoked salmon, sliced
- Dill, to garnish
- Fresh lemon juice, to garnish
Method
- Start by making the avocado mousse. Place all the ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth and creamy.
- Toast the rye bread and slice it into small squares.
- Spoon 1 tsp of the avocado mousse onto each of the rye bread squares, then place a small slice of smoked salmon on top of each.
- Garnish with dill and a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
