Vegan Chocolate Orange Mousse
This chocolate mousse may be vegan and refined sugar free, but it is just as rich, creamy and decadent as a regular chocolate mousse. The secret to creating that gorgeous velvety texture without using any cream? Avocado! Perfect for impressing dinner guests or even as a quick evening dessert for one!
4 tbsp Aduna Super-Cacao Powder
1 small avocado
1/2 cup pitted dates
juice and zest of half an orange
a splash of a dairy-free milk of your choice
a dash of vanilla extract
Add all the ingredients into a food processor or high speed blender and blend thoroughly. You may want to soften your dates prior to this by soaking them in warm water so that they are easier to blend. Gradually add in a little milk to help everything blend into a smooth and creamy consistency.
Once you're happy with the texture and flavour of the mousse, garnish with the toppings of your choice and serve.
