Moringa is one of the most challenging ingredients we source. Although the process appears simple - harvesting, drying and milling the leaves - producing moringa of genuinely high quality requires exceptional control at every stage.

We introduced moringa to the UK in 2014 and, since then, have laboratory-tested samples from over 150 producers across Africa, Asia and Latin America. This extensive benchmarking has shaped what we believe to be the most rigorous sourcing standard in the market.

The challenge lies in the nature of the leaf itself. Moringa is highly nutritious but also extremely delicate. If not handled correctly, it is vulnerable to microbial contamination, while poor drying practices can significantly degrade its nutritional value. Inconsistent supply chains further increase the risk of contamination or organic fraud.

For this reason, every batch of Aduna moringa undergoes multiple rounds of independent laboratory testing, including screening for pathogens, heavy metals and pesticide residues. However, safety alone is not sufficient - potency is equally critical. Preserving this requires precise drying temperatures, rapid processing after harvest, and careful handling throughout.

Our experience has shown that certification alone does not guarantee quality. What matters most is the discipline and expertise of the producer. We therefore work directly with trusted partners and personally visit farms and processing facilities to ensure full traceability and control.
