Sea Salt & Pistachio Super-Cacao Brownies
This recipe from Aduna Triber Gourmet Glow has everything we look for in a brownie: a dense, ultra fudgy texture, crackly top and rich, chocolatey flavour. Sea salt balances out the sweetness and pistachios and chocolate chips add the perfect crunch. They're also gluten, grain-free, vegan and can be made in less than 30 minutes!
Makes 9 squares
50 g Aduna Super-Cacao Powder
150 g coconut sugar
80 g chestnut flour
75 ml melted coconut oil
3 tbsp flaxseed mixed with 7 tbsp water
2 tsp Cornish Sea Salt (Fiery Sea Pepper) OR regular sea salt
2 tbsp roasted pistachios, lightly crushed
2 tbsp raw or dark chocolate chips
Method:Preheat oven 180C. Line a baking tin with parchment paper.
Pulse flaxseed & water in a blender until smooth.
Add remaining ingredients, apart from the pistachios and chocolate chips. Blend until well combined.
Add chocolate and pistachios, pulse until just combined.
Pour into the lined tin and bake for 18-20 minutes, until firm but soft inside (do not over bake!).
Leave to cool completely in the tin. Cut into squares.
