Fonio & Rose Cookies

          Aduna Fonio Rose Cookies

          These fonio and rose cookies are simply delicious. Packed with nutrients and free from refined sugar, they are easy to make and a real crowd pleaser. Serve with an Aduna Super-Tea, of course! 

          Makes 12 cookies


          1 cup of cooked Aduna Fonio Super Grain
          3/4 cup almond flour
          3 tbsp oat flour 
          4 tbsp melted coconut butter or coconut oil
          4 tbsp coconut sugar 
          1 vegan egg 
          1/2 tsp baking soda
          1/4 tsp baking powder 
          1 tbsp rose water 
          1/2 tsp vanilla extract 

          To garnish:

          Almond flakes
          Dried rose petals 


          Blend the cooked Fonio Super-Grain in a blender for a couple of minutes, until it resembles a flour. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Using a small ice cream scoop or large spoon, form 12 small balls on a lined baking tray and flatten. Sprinkle with almond flakes and rose petals before baking in the oven (preheated to 180 C) for 15-18 min or until golden brown.
