These fonio and rose cookies are simply delicious. Packed with nutrients and free from refined sugar, they are easy to make and a real crowd pleaser. Serve with an Aduna Super-Tea, of course!
Makes 12 cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup of cooked Aduna Fonio Super Grain
3/4 cup almond flour
3 tbsp oat flour
4 tbsp melted coconut butter or coconut oil
4 tbsp coconut sugar
1 vegan egg
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp rose water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
To garnish:
Almond flakes
Dried rose petals
Method:
Blend the cooked Fonio Super-Grain in a blender for a couple of minutes, until it resembles a flour. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Using a small ice cream scoop or large spoon, form 12 small balls on a lined baking tray and flatten. Sprinkle with almond flakes and rose petals before baking in the oven (preheated to 180 C) for 15-18 min or until golden brown.Ingredients list:
