Bim's Kitchen: Modern African-inspired Cuisine
Bim's Kitchen have been a favourite of ours since before Aduna even launched so we’re very excited to introduce them and their delicious African-inspired products to you.
Husband and wife team, James "Bim" and Nicola Adedeji started Bim's Kitchen 5 years ago as a way to share their passion and love of African food with the world. They use age-old ingredients native to - or commonly used in - Africa, including baobab, moringa, tigernuts, cashews and hibiscus flowers to create modern recipes for tasty curry sauces, BBQ sauces, ketchups and other easy to use condiments (all suitable for vegetarians and a gluten-free diet).
Talking about their culinary creations, Bim says: “We draw our inspiration and ideas from the ingredients themselves and local African dishes. While many of our ingredients might make a lot of people run for the nearest encyclopaedia, we always try to make sure our end-products are delicious, versatile and easy to use, along the way finding innovative new uses for many age-old African ingredients.”
We especially love their African Chickpea & Moringa Curry Sauce - perfect for a week night dinner - just add your favourite protein and vegetables for a delicious meal in minutes. There are lots of great recipe ideas on their website too. We can’t wait to try the Hot & Smoky Baobab Coleslaw and Spicy Veggie Cakes!
Bim’s Kitchen products are available in a wide selection of farm shops and independent fine food stores across the UK and beyond. You can also order directly from their website. Use code aduna20 for a 20% discount on all products (valid until Friday 7 August 2015).
