A Gypset Life: Amy Talei
Meet vegan foodie and talented creative Amy Talei. With a love for sustainable living, adventure, capturing moments and every aspect of creativity, Amy decided to create a space where she could share her passions and beautiful food creations to inspire others. Her website 'Gypsy Melon’ was born.
We caught up with Amy to find out more about her, her feel good advice and her favourite super-ingredient:
Describe yourself in a sentence...I am curious minded, always up for an adventure and the taste of something new!
My love for food began…When I discovered veganism, I started making food from scratch. Prior to that I actually had a very poor relationship towards food. Learning how to nourish my body with good food and also respect the sources has been great for me. It sparked a passion!
My idea of food heaven is...Chocolate! All kinds of chocolate...cake, bonbons, milkshakes, ice cream, stuffed puff pastry, cookies...anything sweet really! And peanut butter. Oh man, I can feel the cravings coming just by thinking about it!
My Feel Good Advice...Put yourself first! Stay humble and kind but always remember yourself and what makes you thrive both inside and out. Don't do anything you really don't feel like. Take control of your thoughts and listen to them, they determine the life you live. That and an abundance of nutrient-dense foods and proper hydration will keep your body and mind feeling good!
I am inspired by...You! Everyone! I am so grateful to have the ability to connect with people all around the world. I see you all. You all inspire me endlessly to be better, do better and live a little more...everyday!
Baobab, Moringa or Super-Cacao? I think I gave that away when I described my food heaven...but here is a plot twist, I'd have to go with baobab! It's so fresh and rich in flavour, not to mention the feeling it gives me! There's a reason it goes by the name 'the feel good fruit' ;).
