          We love finding out about new products on the market, particularly ones that have simple, natural ingredients, taste delicious and are on a mission to make us all healthier. Enter Dash Waters, the new kids on the block in the sparkling drinks world. At Dash they infuse British sparkling spring water with wonky fruit & vegetables, making a deliciously pure drink without sugar, calories or sweeteners. In fact, the only other ingredient is bubbles! We love their simple attitude and ethos, creating a drink that's refreshing and a natural way to hydrate, with extra bonus points knowing its helping to reduce food waste. What's not to love? Now to decide on our favourite flavour... 

          We speak to one of the co-founders Alex Wright who shares some of their biggest achievements so far, what inspired them to start Dash and what the future holds: 

          How did the idea for Dash Water come about?

          My Co-Founder Jack and I both worked together previously and whilst in the office we would infuse fruit and veg into our water bottles and nerdily compare the flavours. We couldn’t find anything like our infusions on the market which didn't contain sugar, calories or sweetener so that’s when the idea for Dash was born...

          Why is using surplus fruit & vegetable so important to your business?

          We both come from farming backgrounds and have seen first hand that 30% of the fruit & veg grown in the UK goes to waste. At Dash we infuse the wonky fruit & veg which is rejected by the supermarkets to save it from going to waste.

          What has been your biggest achievement so far?

          Producing our first product was an amazing feeling. We partnered exclusively with Selfridges for our launch and seeing the product on shelf was incredible. Along with this, we're proud of the fact that in 2017 we used 240kg of wonky cucumbers and lemons, which would have otherwise gone to waste.

          What does the future hold for Dash Water?

          Our mission is to encourage people to drink more water and to reduce food waste in a fun, sustainable way. In 10 years time we want to get people off sugar and artificially made drinks as well as reducing the crazy amount of food which is wasted.

          Now for the big question – lemon or cucumber flavour?

          For me a crisp cucumber is the one! I usually enjoy 3 or 4 cans of each flavour per day.
