Super-Cacao & Maca Brownies
Rich, chocolatey and delicious, these indulgent brownies by Feel Good Triber Sharon are powered with nutritional benefits thanks to the Super-Cacao and maca. Super-Cacao and maca are packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and perfect for supporting healthy circulation, energy levels and reducing stress.
1/2 cup Aduna Super-Cacao Powder
1/2 cup coconut butter, melted
1/4 cup almond or peanut butter
2 tbsp maca powder
1/4 cup pure maple syrup or coconut nectar
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
pinch of pink salt
3/4 cup raw walnuts, roughly chopped
Combine all the ingredients (except the walnuts) in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl & stir in the walnuts.
Line a large square loaf tin with baking paper and spoon the mixture into the tin and spread until even.
Sprinkle with some desiccated coconut, cacao nibs or extra nuts and pop in the freezer for an hour until solid. (Alternatively you could bake in the oven for around 15 minutes until a knife comes out clean if you’d like to be able to enjoy as a lunch box snack as it won’t require refrigeration.)
Remove from pan, cut into slices and serve.
